Sport, media and the role of women will be the main focus for the Bible Society of Eswatini over the next three years as it seeks to become a major influence in its country.

‘Our post-ABLI vision is to see the Bible as central to the whole country,’ said Eswatini Bible Society CEO Mr Ngcebo Mbuli.

Speaking at the opening of the 8thABLI Forum, he said: ‘We are going to focus on three areas across three years. The first will be the mentorship of aspiring leaders from academia, sports, business and the church. Next year we will scale up our work in sports in an amazing way.

‘We will develop our Bible and media programme, and will have a special focus on women through the ABLI Forum. This is a huge area of work.

‘The Bible is central to Africa’s development. We remain committed to the Bible having a central place in the public square. The Bible must be everywhere for all people at all times.’
